Best Slide Guitar Player – Ever

The first time I ever saw Sonny Landreth perform live was at JazzFest in New Orleans around 1995. My jaw dropped for his entire 1-hour set. I caught him live again a couple years later at the Cabooze in Minneapolis.

There have been some great slide players, but in my book – Sonny is the top dog.

If you’re looking for more, I’d recommend picking up “South of I-10″. Hard to find, but worth it. Best songs are “Native Stepson” and “Congo Square”.
